  • removes dissolved solids and excess minerals
  • can provide the cleanest and purest water for drinking
  • 2 to 3 years lifespan
Disadvantages:
  • high cost
  • chlorine is not filtered
  • cannot treat chlorinated water
  • produce a large amount of wastewater during filtration
  • requires water tank for storage

  • high cost to operate

  • flat taste
