There are different types of air conditioning units. Each unit is
designed for different types of home, which occupies different space and is
used for different reasons.
In this blog post, I am going to show you the different ac units and
how it is used. After reading this post, you will get an idea of what type of
air conditioning unit you should get for your home.
Portable Units
Portable units are ac units that can be moved from one room to
another. It can be put on the floor freestanding. You can also bring it with
you from your apartment to your friends if you decide on a sleepover. That is
why it is called a portable ac unit. This type of ac just needs an outlet to power
and a window for the exhaust air.
Window Units
A window unit is more like a portable unit but is mounted on the wall
or window. This is the most common ac unit and is used for single rooms. It is
enclosed in a box with a thermostat gauge. This is called a window unit because
it mostly sits or installed in window sills.
Central Air Conditioners
Central air conditioners are ac units with combined evaporator,
condenser, and compressor in one unit. It is called a central air conditioner
because it distributes cool air in the entire house or building centralized. It
is mostly placed at the roof or near the property's foundation. It has ducts
that draw air from the outside then return cool air on the inside.
A professional plumber in Sarasota, FL installs different types of ac
units. They also provide duct cleaning for units with ducts like the central
air conditioner.
Mini-Split Air Conditioners
Mini-split air conditioner units are ductless. For houses that do not
have ductwork, this AC unit is the best option. This unit is a combination of
compressor and condenser. There can be one or more indoor air handling units.
The air-handling unit/s is/are mounted on the walls with blowers attached to
them. Tubing connects the units from indoor to outdoor. This type of unit can
cool rooms separately through separate air handling units.
Hybrid Air Conditioner
If you are the type who uses fossil fuels and electricity at the same
time, the hybrid air conditioner is the one for you. This type of air
conditioner alternately uses fossil fuels and electricity while running. This
helps in saving money and energy. The heat pump of this unit works differently
in winter and summer. During summer, it pulls heat from the inside of your home
and distributes it outside. During winter, it pulls heat from the outside and
distributes it inside.
